CODE OF CONDUCT
FOR RESIDENTS
- A Resident should not indulge in an illegal activity, including drug-related illegal/immoral activity, possessing, distributing and/or consuming tobacco, tobacco products such as cigarettes, alcohol or any psychotropic substances on or near the RDS. Furthermore, the Resident shall not engage in acts of violence or threats of violence, including but not limited to the unlawful discharge of firearms, prostitution, criminal street gang activity, intimidation, or any other breach that otherwise jeopardizes the health, safety or welfare of the co-habitants in and near the RDS. A single violation of this Clause shall be deemed a material violation and material non-compliance with the License Agreement and shall constitute a good cause for immediate termination of the License Agreement, and the Resident shall be liable to vacate the RDS, leave the RDS and handover peaceful possession of the same within three (3) days of such termination, settle all outstanding amounts liable to the Service Provider and shall also forfeit the Security Deposit as way of a fine.
- The Residents are not allowed to change rooms and transfer any furniture from one room to another room without the prior permission of the Warden.
- Any manner of festivities and noise making/celebrations will not be entertained, which may cause disturbance to other inmates in the RDS.
- Visitors are allowed only in the Visitor area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Visitors are not allowed beyond the visiting area. No outside Guest/Students will be allowed inside the RDS.
- A Resident should not indulge in Ragging in any form which is strictly prohibited and is a cognizable offence under the Indian Penal Code, 1860. All instances of ragging will be reported to the appropriate legal authorities.
- A Resident shall not indulge in any political or communal activity which is detrimental to the law and order and/or against the Government. Residents shall not carry on any propaganda or publicity of any nature whatsoever in respect of anything or any matter including political or communal matters. A Resident shall not hurt any religious sentiments, beliefs, or practices of any other person in any way whatsoever.
- Strict silence shall be observed in RDS from 10.00 pm to 5.30 am. Care should be taken at all times to ensure that music/loud talking is NOT audible outside the room.
- A Resident shall not remain absent from the RDS between 7 pm to 6 am on all days without prior permission of the RDS Manager/ Warden.
